Lebanon Mark Lodge T.I 2017 Installation

Lebanon Mark Lodge T.I held their installation meeting at the Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool on Monday 3 April.
Michael Clarke; Tony Harrison; Giles Berkley
There were many distinguished Masons from across the Province as well as from Cheshire and London attending. Among the distinguished guests present was MWBro Benjamin Addy PPro GM and RWBro John Wright president of the MBF.

They were accompanied by the Deputy GDC WBro Matthew Hampson.  After some light refreshment the lodge was opened with the guests already in.  Outside the lodge room waiting to make an entrance was the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, VWBro Michael Clarke PGJO.

This was the last meeting VWBro Clarke would be attending as APGM.  VWBro Clarke was accompanied by The Prov Deputy GDC WBro Arthur Robinson PProv GSW and two deacons WBro Russell Green Prov GSD and WBro Derek Gaskell Prov GJD.  Once the salutations for the principal guests had been given in the lodge WBro entered and announced The APGM processed in and was offered the gavel by the Worshipful Master, which he politely declined.

With the salutations given the main event could begin.  The Master Elect VWBro Tony Harrison PGJO PDPrGM was presented to the Worshipful Master WBro Giles Berkley GStwd for the ceremony of installation.

WBro Berkley was relaxed and assured and treated the members and guests to an excellent ceremony.  The very high standard was maintained by the WM’s team with WBro Peter Papworth presenting the Keystone Jewel; WBro Barrie Russell giving the address to the Master. The Wardens address was given by WBro Peter Taaffe and address to the Overseers by WBro David Chestnutt. It is a tradition in Lebanon T.I to work ritual to a good standard and that was well and truly achieved.

VWBro Clarke gave an excellent address to the brethren, (as usual).   At the end of the ceremony the APGM brought the congratulations of the PGM to VWBro Tony Harrison and wished him a happy and busy season to help fill out his, (Tony) already busy diary.  The APGM also thanked WBro Giles for an excellent installation ceremony and the rest of the team who took part for making it such an enjoyable evening for everyone.  The Worshipful Master then presented the APGM with a Charity Cheque.   VWBro Michael Clarke in turn presented RWBro John Wright with a cheque for £1000 for the MBF.
Staying to supper
Dining (or staying for supper as it was formerly called), is always in a square formation, and preferably by candle light.  There is no ‘top table’ or seating by rank.  The meal was very good and the informality made the dining even more enjoyable.  (Someone got to sit next to two RWBro’s).

We wish Lebanon T.I and their new Worshipful Master VWBro Tony Harrison a happy year and congratulations on his impending promotion to Grand Junior Warden.   On behalf of Arthur, Russell and myself, I would like to thank the members of the Lodge for making us so welcome.
